NSI – Security Systems Regulator

What is NSI? What does it do?

Since 1990, The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has been the main regulator for companies in the electronic security sector. Blitz Security Group is approved and regulated by NSI for the installation and maintenance of:

  • Intruder Alarms
  • Access Control Systems
  • CCTV Systems

NSI operates two levels of approval “NSI Systems Silver” for small or medium size firms not wanting to operate to ISO9000 Quality Assurance, and “NSI NACOSS Gold” scheme for medium and larger companies who can demonstrate that they adhere to the strictest standards for security firms including ISO9000. Blitz Security is an NSI “NACOSS Gold” company.

NACOSS Gold companies like Blitz Security are required to comply with four groups of standards:

  • Technical Standards (British Standards or the European equivalent)
  • Business Standards (Covering insurance, premises, finances etc)
  • Codes of Practice (Covering industry – specific issues such as the reduction of false alarms and customer care)
  • Quality Management (Based on international ISO 9000 standards)

Why choose an NSI NACOSS Gold company?

It’s important to know that the company installing your system is competent and reliable and will satisfy your insurance company and the police. NSI NACOSS Gold firms are required to operate to the highest standards set by NSI. They are also required to operate the international Quality Management standard ISO9000.
